Gareth and Chloe’s wedding at Lion Quays will always be a memorable day for many reasons. I absolutely loved how easy it was to photograph these two, they were naturals in front of the camera and the weather gave us some magical moments with stunning sunsets and snow! In late March! Their chosen “Oscars” theme was a nice touch and allowed us to have some fun with limos, a red carpet, shades and trophies. As well as a cheeky nod or “slap” to the Oscars which was just 3 days before.

Lion Quays was the perfect choice for their wedding day. Situated in the countryside next to a beautiful quay as the name suggests allowed us to get a variety of stunning couple shots by the water’s edge and near some vintage lampposts with the sunset peeking behind. The venue has many different areas for guests to mingle and for key events to take place. It has its own ceremony room, a couple of bar areas, the main reception area for the wedding breakfast, multiple outdoor areas around the building including covered areas and a pretty water feature too.

I loved how there was ample room to move around and keep my distance so as not to interfere with any moments but still be close enough to capture the memories. It’s nice to work at a venue that doesn’t mean I need to make any compromises and can just focus on taking beautiful photographs.

Emily was an absolute star on our special day! She felt a part of the furniture immediately, capturing everything we could have wanted and looking back through the photos we get to relive all of our memories as well as see what our guests saw! If you hire Emily you will not be disappointed!
